The Point 94.1 in conjunction with the non-profit SCAT (Senior Citizens Activities Today) is hosting the First Annual Beer and Bugs Crawfish Boil on Friday, April 19, 2013 in the River Market pavilions from 6pm-9pm. The Bugs and Beer Crawfish Boil will be a great family friendly event filled with food, great music and lots of Cajun fun.
SCAT, a non-profit organization funded by the United Way and local contributions, assists the senior populations in high rise facilities run by the Little Rock Housing Authority (Parris, Cumberland, Powell and Parkview). The first social/recreational program for senior citizens in the state, SCAT provides an array of activities and programs for seniors, transportation, food and socialization and help with household chores.
The Point 94.1 is honored to be working with SCAT to help them in their goal to enable mature adults facing challenges such as low income and physical/mental disabilities to maintain independence by providing services to meet their health, social and economic needs.
